My lines have been described as playful, fun, bright, girly, fresh, feminine and youthful. I really like those descriptions as they describe how I feel when I am designing and creating each piece. It’s also the way I want people to feel wearing them. I hope each piece can brighten your day, make you feel a bit more cheery, feel extra sexy or playful, or simply add a bit of confidence. Who hasn’t put on a piece of killer jewelry and instantly felt a bit brighter.
All of my lines feature flirty, fun, hip colors in obvious and not so obvious combinations. They tend to have a modern yet simple feel to them with a touch of bohemian style (after all I do have gypsy blood). Making them so they are not overpowering, all are subtly bold - just enough to make you stand out.
All lines are designed using colorful semi precious and precious gemstones and .925 sterling silver. Yea the pieces might not follow the current trends but I have always felt that everyone really makes their own trends. So go ahead let your fun side show.

I am usually a pretty shy person but I love great colors. It allows me to let my real side show through. You can see it when you look around at my stuff – I’m the goofy girl who still has those fun colored notebooks instead of the basic styles, my cell phone case is hot pink, and my nails are always painted in vibrant colors. I love to keep my hair red. I just can't seem to get enough of the colors. I figure it is a great way to stand out - without really standing out. So I design my jewelry lines like that, great fun little pieces that jump with colors.
An Arizona native, I was born there but moved around a lot when I was a kid. I currently live here with my husband and our 3 kids. I design out of my home studio so I can have the ability to be near our children, which is extremely important to me.
Previously I worked in graphic design and visual communications for over 10 years but was never happy with it and wanted to do something that allowed a whole lot more creativity. I used to do all sorts of crafty stuff when I was a kid (including jewelry) but had lost that side of myself as she grew up. Why jewelry? A friend of mine, who is also a jewelry designer, reintroduced me to jewelry creation. I realized how much I loved doing it as well as thought it made a perfect fit. I could create fun pieces that would fit into my styles. And thus my fire was lit and AOD was born.
I send all my silver scraps in to be refined and reused. NO trash can! Plus broken stones and such don't just get tossed - I like to use them in different art projects. It's much better to refine the silver or get creative with the stones that "don't make the cut" instead of just wasting them!
